Spring Meeting at the ACE
LPMA joined Mississippi Psychiatric Association the Louisiana & Mississippi Councils for Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and the Louisiana Chapter of the American Society for Addiction Medicine to host an amazing meeting in New Orleans!

This event included certified training, licensure credits, panel and case presentations and experts from around the country. (Access shared slide presentations on the website .)

Medical students, residents and faculty brought posters and cases to enter the poster competition and win cash, and ended the day with a ride on a party bus to the Krewe du Vieux Mardi Gras parade! This was truly a great experience enjoyed by all!!

Tickets Still Available for APA’s 175 th Anniversary Gala in San Francisco

Tickets are still available for the crowning event of APA’s 175 th Anniversary celebration, the 175 th Anniversary Gala hosted by the American Psychiatric Association Foundation. The event will take place on May 20 th at 7 p.m. in the beautiful San Francisco City Hall and is open to all registered attendees of the Annual Meeting. Tickets must be purchased in advance or at the Annual Meeting. No tickets will be sold at the door. Special discounted rates are available for RFM and Medical Student attendees. All proceeds from the 175 th Anniversary Gala will benefit the APA Foundation. You can book your tickets for this historic celebration here .

Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC) is a team-based, multi-element treatment for first episode psychosis (FEP) that integrates medical, psychosocial, and rehabilitative interventions in a recovery-oriented, collaborative approach to care. This course presents cutting-edge research that informs broader adoption of CSC in U.S. settings, including strategies to proactively encourage early help seeking among FEP patients via online and social media-based resources.
