According to St. Teresa of Calcutta, the quickest and surest way towards thoughtfulness is through our words when we use them for the good of others. She says “If you think well of others, you will speak well of others and to others. Likewise, if your heart is full of love, you will speak of love. Violence of the tongue is very real – sharper than any knife, wounding and creating bitterness that on the grace of God can heal. Be kind to each other in your homes. Be kind to those who surround you. Make mistakes out of kindness rather than that you work miracles in unkindness.”
How do you use your words? In today’s world it is not just our spoken word but our written word in the form of texts, posts, or emails. Is the way in which you use your words a living example of God’s love?
