O ne PTA developed the Liberty Park PTA's Kids Club for recruiting new PTA members.  By a parent joining the PTA, not only did they receive weekly emails, a monthly newsletter, and a discount card to local restaurants, but they also received student incentives for their child.  It was a huge hit!  The benefits for the student included: a free PTA Kids Club t-shirt which can be worn as a uniform school shirt, coupons to be used a school carnival, a bag of popcorn, and game tickets for the Holly Jolly Festival in December.  While all of these extras were exciting incentives for the kids, the free t-shirt was the biggest selling point.  The kids begged their parents to sign up on the spot because t-shirts were running out.  This PTA's goal was to increase their membership by 20% - they exceeded this goal and have had a more engaging and rewarding school year!
