Just Released: NYS Nurse Staffing Report
New York State's Department of Health released a highly anticipated report on August 14 that looks at the logistics and costs of implementing mandated nurse-staffing ratios in New York. Researchers found that if the proposed legislation to do so were passed, hospitals would need to hire nearly 25,000 more nurses—at an annual cost of between $1.8 billion and $2.4 billion.

The WCA, and its hospital and nursing home partners, has long opposed this legislation- click here to read WCA op-ed. LoHud reported on the issue on Monday - click here to see article.
