Waterloo Regional Police Partner With Axon Citizen on Pilot Project
The Waterloo Regional Police Service has partnered with Axon Public Safety Canada in an effort to better leverage evidence based technology while maintaining physical distance during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The new technology, which will be used by members of our Frontline Support Unit, will allow members of the community to share digital evidence electronically instead of an officer being dispatched to collect it.

Can't Hold Her Back Anymore!
When WRPS dispatchers heard that four-year-old Lexi had her beloved Frozen bike stolen from her front yard, they immediately jumped to action.
Within hours, they raised enough money to purchase her a brand new one - with an additional basket and bell!
"This is my MOST favourite," Lexi explained as Constable Dietrich and Constable Johnson delivered her the shiny new bike.
Thank you to all those who donated and who helped bring a smile to little Lexi's face.

Birthday Smiles
Alex was all smiles when police showed up to wish him a Happy Birthday last week.
Considering he one day wants to become a WRPS canine officer, it's fair to say this surprise visit was one of his favourite gifts.
Thanks to Constable Sharon Lloyd and Constable Yao Heng for making his day a little more special!
Happy Birthday, Alex!
