A Message from the President:
Embarking on our 25th Year
I hope everyone is staying healthy and doing well as we mark the one-year anniversary of the pandemic in the United States. It has changed our world and changed how we take care of you, our valued customers.

But a more positive anniversary that will occur in 2021 is the 25th Anniversary of Wolf River Community Bank serving the financial needs of our communities. During that quarter-century, we have grown from a modest trailer structure in one location to serving the needs of the entire Fox West area from four locations. Stay tuned to learn how we will be celebrating this milestone.
At this time our lobbies continue to be open by appointment only. We continue to carefully monitor when it will be safe to return to more normal lobby operations. We very much miss being able to see so many of our customers in our lobbies and we look forward to when we are able to do that again.

It might come as no surprise that we have seen a strong increase in the number of customers using our electronic banking products. If you need help getting started with online banking or any of our other electronic banking services, please give us a call – we’re happy to help. Also new this year, customers have enjoyed a safe, touchless way to pay with their debit card using Apple Pay. We’re excited to announce that Google Pay, Fit Bit Pay and Garmin Pay will be available in April! Stay tuned for more advancements in electronic banking throughout the year.

Stay well,
Tell Us When You Travel
To help ensure uninterrupted service of your debit card while you travel, let us know your travel plans.

You can quickly and easily submit a travel notice to us with the Brella™ mobile app. Simply tap on “Manage travel notices” on the menu screen, follow the prompts and provide us your travel dates and destinations.

Submitting a travel notice is a good idea, so we aren’t surprised when we see debit card purchases originating from an unusual area, such as another state or country. It’s possible we might flag those transactions as fraudulent and put a hold on your card until we find out for sure. Telling us when you’re traveling helps us identify legitimate transactions quickly.

Download this powerful mobile app today. Search “Brella Card Manager” in your app store to download.

There's Never Been a Better Time to Obtain a Business Loan
A new year is here but small businesses are still facing challenges from COVID-19. Thankfully, recent program changes and low rates are offering small businesses relief.

Three reasons why there’s never been a better time to obtain a business loan:
  1. SBA recently announced significant changes to loan programs that benefit business owners.
  2. PPP loans are still available with changes to better assist certain industries.
  3. Low loan rates along with quick, flexible decision-making from Wolf River Community Bank.
Protect Your Cell Phone from SIM Swap Fraud
SIM swapping occurs when a thief impersonates a user and attempts to convince cell phone companies to move the user’s data to a SIM card in the thief’s possession. Once an attacker gains control of the user’s phone number, it lessens hurdles associated with gaining access to the person's accounts. The two-factor authentication checkpoint that financial institutions use to protect accounts can be compromised.
The thief can now easily recover the passwords needed to access the user’s bank accounts. In short, it’s a way to hijack accounts and steal money.

How do you know if your phone has been compromised?
If out-of-the-blue, you can't make or receive calls or text messages, you should consider yourself SIM-jacked and immediately contact your wireless provider.

How to protect yourself:
You can decrease your chances of someone gaining access to and taking over your phone number by adding a PIN code or password to your wireless account. Contact your wireless provider to add this extra security measure.
Local Schools Took Their Best Shots
As with many events in 2020, the Wolf River Community Bank Half-Court Contest looked a little different.

Instead of half-court shots at the high school games, we invited schools to select three staff members to attempt shots for a chance to raise money for their schools.
Congratulations and thank you to the school staff members from Hortonville Area School District, School District of New London, and School District of Shiocton who participated! Wolf River Community Bank donated $800 to local school districts through the 2020 Half-Court Contests.
On the Move!
We are excited to announce the growth of our team to enhance the financial service we’re able to provide you. As we mark our 25th year of growing in our communities, we also are advancing our talented group at Wolf River Community Bank.
