Canada Poultry and Egg Farm Investment Program
Message from CFC Chair
Benoit Fontaine, Chair of Chicken Farmers' of Canada strongly encourages all BC chicken growers to register for the Canadian Poultry and Egg Investment Program.

  1. Grower Registration: Growers should register with PEFIP using their license information. Upon validation, producers will see their maximum funding amount to plan their project.
  2. Submit an application: Growers can submit their project application(s) over the ten-year period for their on-farm investments.

Inlcusion Body Hepatitis - what you should know

Inclusion Body Hepatitis (IBH) is a viral disease characterized by severe liver lesions in young birds (usually up to 35 days of age). Yellow and mucoid droppings can be observed.
While there is no vaccination available for IBH specifically, it has been found that vaccination for Infectious Bursal Disease can help minimize the harmful effects of IBH.
After the outbreak, it is important to remove manure from the farm premise and thoroughly clean and disinfect the barns.
