Vista High School , in collaboration with the Vista Workability Program, held a Job & Career Fair at its campus on March 2nd. The event provided employers, educational institutions, and other organizations with the opportunity to talk with students about employment and career opportunities in various fields.  Deputy Sector Navigator for Global Trade /CITD staff members, Gabriel Reyes and Monica Rosas, participated in the event and promoted careers and educational options in global trade, logistics, supply chain management, as well as the CITD's  Youth Entrepreneurship Program , which provides training to youth and young adults on how to start their own business. All 2,500 of the school's students were allowed to participate in the event.

Understanding INCOTERMS Workshop

INCOTERMS are vital to international trade transactions. If your foreign buyers asks you to quote a price "CIF Tokyo", do you know how to respond? If not, you could lose out on potential business. Your Business May Qualify for a Free Booth in the California Pavilion at the 4th Industrial Meeting DIMBC Expo


The San Diego CITD invites small and medium-sized manufacturers to participate in the California Pavilion at the 4th Industrial Meeting DIMBC 2018.

The mission of the industrial meeting/trade show, which will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, is to connect Baja California manufacturers with suppliers from Mexico and the United States. More than 2,000 visitors and more than 100 exhibitors visit the 1-day event. Activities included in the event are:

 

     - Business to Business (B2B) sessions

     - Academic program with curricular value

     - A forum on upcoming industrial trends

     - Award ceremony for the best Manufacturing plant
       "Enrique Mier y Teran" Award.

     - Tours of manufacturing facilities*

 

There are many products and services currently in demand by Baja California manufacturers. As part of the California State Trade and Export Promotion (STEP) program, you may be able to qualify for a free booth at the expo to exhibit your products/services.

Careers in Global Trade and Engineering Professional Development Event

If you are a High School or College educator, come learn about rewarding career opportunities for your students in growing industry sectors in our region.

CITD at MEXPORT 2018

Join the CITD at MEXPORT 2018, which will be held on April 26, 2018. Come visit us at Booth #84.

MEXPORT, organized by the Otay Mesa Chamber of Commerce, is the premier cross border business expo in the  Cali-Baja  region promoting trade and business opportunities.

This year MEXPORT will include Business-to-Business Executive Sessions between buyers from major manufacturers, service providers, and potential suppliers. These sessions will be included with booth registration and will feature  major manufacturers and service providers such as Plantronics , Kyocera, Samsung,  and Jensen Meat , in addition to a variety of industry representatives from the  medical , aerospace , furniture   and electronics industry. 
 
Major services and components being sought out include labels, packaging, plastics, copper and steel wiring, trucking and specialized logistics services.

EXPORTECH Corona


ExporTechâ„¢ is a national export assistance program that helps companies enter or expand in global markets. Jointly offered by the NIST Manufacturing Extension Partnership and the U.S. Export Assistance Centers of the U.S. Department of Commerce, ExporTech applies a structured export strategy development process that assists 4-8 companies to accelerate growth. It is the only national program where each company develops a written export plan, that is vetted by a panel of experts upon completion.  ExporTech efficiently connects companies with a wide range of world-class experts that help navigate the export sales process. The result is that companies rapidly expand global sales and save countless hours of effort.

Imperial Valley International Trade Seminar


The Imperial Valley International Trade Seminar which will be held April 18-19th is hosted by the Imperial Valley Economic Development Corporation in collaboration with the U.S. Commercial Service. Come discover the resources available for your business to grow globally.

The San Diego CITD will be participating on the "Financing Resources for your Global Business" panel discussion on the 19th.
