At its regular monthly meeting on December 15, the Board of Directors discussed a) postponing our usual December membership drive, b) extending the current membership term, c) scheduling of the 2021 Annual General Meeting and d) re-opening the Center.

We decided to start the two-week membership drive with its discounted renewal fee of $20 soon after the Center re-opens.

Memberships that were to end on December 31, 2020 are extended until the final day of the membership drive.

We decided to hold the Annual General Meeting on March 31, 2021.

We decided to re-open the Center in the week of January 25th subject to further review by the Board at its meeting on January 19th.

On another matter, I am pleased to announce that 5 large donations totalling $4,954 have been received in recent months. In addition there were many activity donations - $305 in total while the Center was open in October and November. During these two months our kitchen earned $615 net of food costs for our soup and sandwiches menu. Even so, for the 11 months of 2020, the Center's overall savings account has been drawn down by $10,813 to pay heat, light, phone and other bills that keep arriving whether or not the Center is open.
