At its regular monthly meeting on February 16, the Board of Directors reviewed these issues:
- Annual General Meeting,
- re-opening the Center.
We decided to go ahead with the Annual General Meeting on April 28, 2021. We hope it will be an in-person meeting but if this is not wise by then it will be held online as a Zoom meeting. This means that a notice will be circulated in a week or so about which Board positions are up for election at the AGM.
We also decided to open the Center on St. Patrick's Day, Wednesday, March 17th, at 10:00 am. This marks the one year anniversary of the day that we first closed the Center.
The Center will open as a restaurant for members only. The Center will be open for three days a week: Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. The open hours will be from 10 to 3 with the kitchen open from 11 to 1. Activities that are not normally part of a restaurant function will not happen until public health restrictions are relaxed. Until then this means no bingo, no dominoes, no pool, no line dancing, no Euchre, no Canasta, no Crib, no Mahjongg, no crafts and no book club. When attending for some refreshments, each member will sign in at the entrance and public health protocols will be in place of course.
On behalf of the Board, we look forward to seeing those of you who may drop by for a coffee and/or some baking and/or a sandwich.
