If pandemic health and safety concerns have been substantially minimized (or eliminated), we all hope to meet in Baltimore in October for URISA's 59th Annual Conference, GIS-Pro 2021. We will certainly pivot if necessary.
GIS Data Stewardship Ask the Experts Virtual Panel: March 31
Just announced: URISA's Next-Gen 9-1-1 Task Force is hosting an Ask the Experts virtual panel session focused on GIS Data Stewardship, next Wednesday, March 31 at 3 PM Eastern/2 PM Central/1 PM Mountain/12 Noon Pacific time.

Call for Leadership Nominations
Do you have leadership ambitions within URISA or can you recommend a fellow member who should be considered or encouraged to serve in a leadership role for the association? 

URISA is governed by a 12-member Board of Directors – unpaid volunteers who are elected by the URISA membership to serve three-year terms. Elections take place each summer and board terms begin at the close of the GIS-Pro annual conference.

URISA is pleased to announce the Call for Nominations for the positions of President-Elect and Director for the 2021-2024 Board of Directors (three-year terms). Nomination Statements are due on or before May 3, 2021.

URISA GIS Leadership Academy - Virtual & In-Person
To keep up with demand, we will again host a Virtual URISA GIS Leadership Academy during the week of April 12-16, 2021. As with the two previous virtual GLAs, capacity is limited so grab your spot right away.

We hope to see you at our in-person events this year (fingers crossed) in:

  • Minneapolis, Minnesota - June 7-11, 2021 (Being Rescheduled)
Because things aren't expected to be quite as fully open in June as we had hoped, we have decided to re-negotiate and will shortly announce that the Minneapolis program will move to early December (week of December 6). As soon as that contract adjustment is made, we'll reach out to those of you who are currently registered for the June program and facilitate a transfer of registration. Hang tight!
