Criminal Record Checks

The process to conduct a staff's criminal record check has changed. Moving forward, all Microboards and Individualized Funding Agents must have a registered employer account with the Criminal Records Review Program (CRRP). Criminal Record Checks can no longer be done at your local police detachment.

All Microboards and Individualized Funding Agents MUST have an account with the CRRP by Thursday, March 31, 2022.

In this webinar we will highlight the policy requirements, look at the process to set up an employer account, complete the criminal record check, and answer any questions.
When: Tuesday, March 1
Time: 7:00pm (PST)
Intro to Microboards &
Individualized Funding

This webinar is an introduction to Microboards and Individualized Funding. It is for people interested in learning more about these resources, what they are, how they are different, and if they are the best option for you, or a loved one with a disability.

What is a Microboard?

A Microboard is a small non-profit society created by family and friends to provide personalized support for a person with a disability. The focus of a Microboard is to support the person with a disability’s guidance to have an inclusive life in their community. Anyone with a disability can have a Microboard.

What is Individualized Funding?

Individualized Funding (IF) is a payment option for people served by Community Living BC (CLBC). IF lets you use the money given to you by CLBC to create new, different kinds of services that will support you in your community.
