Did you know that there are scores of English words to describe sadness? Yet none seems adequate at this moment.

Luckily, actions speak louder than words and your offers to help and donate give us the strength to continue our critical mission of helping 2-legged and 4-legged Israelis in need.

CONTINUING OUR MISSION

It’s an unfathomable reality that this war will cause a surge in the number of civilians and veterans who will need guide dogs and service dogs.

In order to be prepared, we must continue our work now. It can take nearly 2 years from when a dog is born until it is placed with a client. Curtailing any step of training could lead to our dogs being ill-prepared for real-world challenges and could jeopardize the safety of our clients. We are grateful to our staff, volunteers, donors, and leaders for ensuring that this will not happen!

PUPPY LOVE ENCOUNTERS

These days, there is no shortage of need for emotional support in Israel. Our amazing puppy raisers are making sure that Puppy Love Encounters are happening throughout Israel in hostels, hotels, parks, hospitals, and other locations.

It’s incredible to see a child’s or a patient’s face light up when one of our dogs walks in and immediately shows them unconditional love.

Visiting Displaced Families

Our dogs have been comforting hundreds of families and children. Recently we took our dogs to visit children and families who have been evacuated from Kiryat Shmona to Kibbutz Haifetz Chaim. Children of all ages were able to pet, feed, and play with the dogs.

Visiting Hospitals

Our dogs have visited hospitals in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa, and more. Recently our dogs Selina, Zeus, Triple, Whitney, Lydia & Major visited patients in Hadassah Hospital in Ein Karem.

Visiting with IDF Soldiers

Our campus continues to be a place for our volunteer puppy-raisers who are serving in the IDF to visit their foster dogs while on leave.

Also, our dogs Lucas, Ranger, Mushu and other dog friends visited the medical army base that services all of the IDF. The visit included lots of licks, hugs, playing, tricks, and food of course.

Words Matter and even though we're experiencing indescribable sadness, we can't miss the opportunity to thank you for the outpouring of good wishes and financial support that helps us continue our important mission.
