Protocols - UPDATED 05/24/22
In light of the recently ended pooled testing program, we have decided to implement an alternative Test-To-Stay option that will mainly affect unvaccinated close contacts (for non-household exposures).

For any unvaccinated student who becomes exposed to a known COVID positive case outside of their household:

  • Test at home each morning before school for five days after initial exposure to known positive case. Rapid tests are acceptable. Results of each test must be shared directly via email to office@frenchschool.me (a photo of results with time/date of test)
  • Mask indoors at school for 10 days after initial exposure to known positive case
  • If any symptoms develop within the 10 days after initial exposure, stay home from school, regardless of test results

Health insurance companies often offer 100% reimbursement of the cost of home tests. Please check the following links to order your at-home tests from: the US government and Project ACT.

For those without any at-home tests, testing can take place at school upon request while testing supplies last. If you have extra at-home tests you would like to donate to the school, please let us know.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

For fully vaccinated / individuals who have had COVID in the last 90 days, the protocol will be to monitor for symptoms after being identified as a close contact. No quarantine from school will be required. Masking is recommended but remains optional.

For details, and clarifications for household cases and other specifics, please see the graphics included at the bottom of each newsletter, and let us know if you have any questions. Thank you for keeping your student home when they are sick!
