Keith Law joins PodCounty to talk America's favorite pastime
Keith Law could have been anything growing up, and he parlayed that potential into a winding career path that brought him through economics, the Toronto Blue Jays' front office, ESPN and now The Athletic. Keith, a North Wilmington resident, joins PodCounty to talk baseball as we reminisce on games lost to the COVID-19 pandemic. NERDiT NOW donates hundreds of laptops to students in need
With schools closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the technology gap in our community has never been more prevalent. The team at NERDiT NOW, working with leaders at Warner Elementary, donated 40 laptops to students in need on Thursday morning to help close the technology gap holding back students who don't have access to technology. They followed that donation up with another 40 at Kingswood on Monday and will donate another 50 tomorrow. For video of the giveaway, CLICK HERE.
NCCo. launches BioBot page to provide test tracking results, data
In April, County Executive Matt Meyer announced a partnership between New Castle County and BioBot, an analytics company born out of MIT, to test New Castle County's wastewater for evidence of COVID-19. BioBot's research has shown there are likely tens of thousands of unknown or unreported cases of COVID-19 in New Castle County. As that partnership continues, New Castle County has launched a website where the public can see data as it becomes available. To visit the site, CLICK HERE .
Community Heroes: Sister Catherine Lowe helps feed the hungry
Sister Catherine Lowe has dedicated most of her life to service, but it's evident now more than ever during the COVID-19 pandemic. Working out of the St. Patrick's Center, Sister Catherine Lowe and the center's staff and volunteers have been feeding the homeless and those in need throughout the pandemic thanks to food donations from local vendors and residents.
