Officials break ground on new Middletown library
New Castle County broke ground on a new library for Middletown on Thursday morning, opening a new chapter in the county's library system. The new Middletown Library will replace the current Appoquinimink library, with a state of the art building that will feature new energy saving technology to keep the library's carbon footprint as low as possible, while also encouraging the public to pursue carbon reduction with electric vehicle charging stations. Officials anticipate it will take 18-24 months to construct the library and open it to the public. To see a video of the ceremony, CLICK HERE.
