First Founders launches second accelerator program for 2020
First Founders was launched in 2019 to train underrepresented entrepreneurs to develop fintech solutions which help improve the financial health of diverse communities, while building a more inclusive startup ecosystem. Year Up graduates a new class of students with County support
New Castle County supported Year Up Wilmington with a $5,000 grant from the NCC Cares program on Friday morning. Year Up’s mission is to close the Opportunity Divide by ensuring that young adults gain the skills, experiences, and support that will empower them to reach their potential through careers and higher education . County Executive tours Harvest Christian Academy after merger
Harvest Christian Academy has been educating elementary school children in a small school in Wilmington for years, but a merger with Delaware Christian Academy this fall not only saved the jobs of over two dozen teachers, it allowed Harvest Christian to grow into a full Pre-K through 12th grade school. County Executive Matt Meyer toured the school with Headmaster Dr. Raymond D. Williams, Sr. to see how they've grown.
