Registration is not required but strongly suggested.
Fenced Bark Parks reopen across New Castle County
The Talley Day Bark Park reopened on Monday morning, June 1st as part of a Phase 1 reopening of facilities across the state as we ease COVID-19 restrictions. Bark Parks at Glasgow Park, Iron Hill Park and Banning Park are also reopening. Those visiting any county dog park, either fenced or open, are still required to practice social distancing - remaining six feet apart. Individuals are also required to wear a mask at all times within the park to help fight the spread of the novel coronavirus. The County will continue opening facilities as we fight the spread.
Animal groups host drive thru pet food pantry distributions
The Delaware Humane Association, Delaware SPCA and Faithful Friends Animal Society partnered to host two drive thru pet food pantries on Friday morning, starting at the Bear-Glasgow YMCA, where County Executive Matt Meyer aided the distribution, and again in the afternoon in Southbridge in Wilmington. Hundreds of cars streamed through each event as thousands of pounds of pet food were distributed. To see video of the distribution from the Bear-Glasgow YMCA event, CLICK HERE .
