Southern Park Master Plan meeting TOMORROW night, March 4th
New Castle County officials are holding a public meeting on the master plan for the future Southern New Castle County Park coming to Middletown. At the meeting, officials will discuss the project's progress and seek feedback on the park from the community. The meeting runs from 7-9PM at the Appoquinimink Community Library. Fred Comegys joins PodCounty to discuss 50 years of photography
Fred Comegys joined the staff of The News Journal (then The Morning News) as a teenager. Back then, he was fetching coffee for seasoned journalists and editors until one day he found himself with a camera in hand and the rest was history. County Paramedics celebrate 44 lives saved at cardiac arrest reunion
The County Paramedics Department celebrated 44 lives saved last year at their eighth annual Cardiac Arrest Survivors Reunion held at the Tatnall School. The event brought together cardiac arrest survivors and all the first responders involved in their chain of survival. For many, it's the first chance they have had to see who saved their lives. 2020 edition of PAGES unveiled at Newark Library release party
The 2020 edition of PAGES , a children's literary and art magazine featuring work from children ages 4-11, was unveiled at a release party at the Newark Library on Saturday afternoon. Children submitted artwork up until the final day of 2019 and library staff compiled selected pieces into the magazine which selected artists get to keep..
