New Castle County vehicles join #TeamMASK to educate public
New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer joined Carvertise CEO Mac Macleod to announce a new partnership between the companies focused on educating the public on the importance of mask use to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. The #TeamMASK campaign will feature decals with information on where residents can get resources devoted to the pandemic. Vehicles will also wear masks themselves after extensive research and development by Carvertise to find the right material to promote air flow and hold up durably on County vehicles. County's BioBot testing effort featured in "Nature"
New Castle County's wastewater testing effort is featured in the latest edition of "Nature," one of the leading scientific journals in the world for environmental and natural research. The wastewater monitoring process has been used for decades to track everything from the spread of Polio to opioid abuse. By using wastewater to track COVID-19, we can better understand where testing resources are needed, and where potential larger outbreaks are soon to pop up.
