For the next five weeks Keller UMC will journey through the work of Deitrich Bonhoeffer, Life Together. This text is said to be Bonhoeffer’s “inspiring account of a unique fellowship in an underground seminary during the Nazi years in Germany.” The work gives advice on living a life together in Christ. These five weeks will focus on the different aspects of Christian Fellowship such as personal prayer, worship in common, everyday work and service. During these weeks we encourage you to be present in Sunday morning worship, participate in a Sunday morning Connection Group, and read the chapters of Life Together throughout the week.
This UMW circle will meet on Wednesday, October 6, at 10am in DAC 414. We will make cork coasters for Sharing the Joy. If you like to work with glue and mesh ribbon, this is the project for you! Please join us!
Choral Union Advent/Christmas Rehearsals
Beginning Wednesday, October 5, and during the months of October and November, Choral Union will rehearse for the Advent presentation on December 12. That Sunday, Magnificat by Mark Hayes will be presented with orchestra in both the 9am and 11:15am worship services.
Choral Union is for youth and adults who would like to sing with the choir for this special event, but not sing regularly on Sunday mornings with the Chancel Choir. Rehearsals will be from 7-7:30pm. Chancel Choir will rehearse their regular Sunday service music 7:30-8:30pm.
Living with Loss
three-week Group Begins October 18
We live in a time of unprecedented loss. Many are grieving, worried, fearful, and yet none of us wear the signs, labels or written warnings reading, "I'm struggling. Be kind to me!" If you’ve suffered a loss of any kind, Keller UMC invites you to a private time of sharing with others like you. This is not a therapy group but an effort to help you understand grief, how it affects you, and how you can be comforted and empowered to live into the days ahead.Click here for details!
Underground Seminary
Every Wednesday through October 27 at 10am, Pastor Jason and Pastor Lauren will gather in the Sanctuary for Underground Seminary. This event is also Livestreamed each week if you are unable to gather in person. Grab your Bible and a journal and let's go to Seminary together!

Children's Resources
Visit Keller UMC Kids Ministry Facebook page for announcements, spiritual formation resources and group chat opportunities.
We believe that children grow into their faith, not just by attending spiritual formation classes, but also by watching their parents and other adults practicing their faith. We also believe that it is important for all of us - young and old - to worship corporately as a community of believers. We've redesigned our Sunday mornings so that we can practice our faith in a way that reflects these beliefs.
Third and fourth graders will be presented with a Bible in worship on October 10. Please be sure to register for your preferred service no later than October 1. We encourage all of our third (and fourth graders who did not participate last year) and their families to make plans to attend worship and this special celebration.
Glen Lake Bible Camp is an opportunity for children in 3rd-5th grades to come and learn about the Bible while enjoying the adventures and joys of camp. Campers will go through Bible Discovery and Bible Exploration. We will leave Keller UMC on Friday, November 5, at 4:30pm and return at 5:30pm on Saturday, November 6.
Please notify your church family at 817-431-1332 if you or a loved one are hospitalized, or if there has been a birth, death or wedding in your family. If you are in need of pastoral care, let us know and pastoral staff will respond.

Now that we have set our regular worship schedule for 9 and 11:15am on Sundays, we have a need for more ushers at 11:15am. Typically, ushers are scheduled once or twice a month, but our current list of 11:15am ushers are needed more frequently. We have a complete training video from our recent in-person training. Ushers are scheduled by the month and sometimes serve as full ushers for the worship or as offering ushers. If you attend the 11:15am worship and would be interested in learning more, please contact Kim Kuhlman.
