Green & Growin' was a success!
On Wednesday, January 12, the Carolinas Irrigation Association was pleased to participate in the NCNLA’s Green and Growin’ Educational Track. Hundreds of industry professionals, representing every facet of the landscape and irrigation Industry, were in attendance. From growers to contractors, to university professors to product manufacturers, all gathered for premier green industry educational days in North Carolina. While there were educational tracks available to address contracting, business, technology, and horticulture, the Carolinas Irrigation Association led a full day of classes that provided CEUs to licensed North Carolina irrigation professionals. Industry professionals, such as Jim Laiche and Chris Keating, with the Toro Company, shared their decades of experience with the nearly 100 people in attendance. Art Elmers, with Netafim, shared over 5 decades of information with the attendees, and Brad Comer, with Hunter Industries, kept everyone up to speed on newer technology available to assist today’s irrigation contractor. They even let me have the floor to share some of the tools we’ve used in our service company to achieve success. There were lots of smiles and the energy was high; thanks to all that attended! And thanks to all the instructors that helped make the event a success in so many ways.
Here’s hoping you have a great Spring season!
