OCTOBER 2023 CIA QUARTERLY NEWSLETTER

Thank you for a great Waterpalooza event!

The Carolinas Irrigation Association hosted its 9th Annual Waterpalooza Conference Oct. 12 and enjoyed networking with the 100+ participants.

The day of learning included 6 education sessions approved for various NCICLB, NCLCLB, and IA education credits, in addition to a busy exhibit hall where attendees caught up on the latest industry trends and innovations.

Waterpalooza is a highly anticipated event each year and the CIA would like to thank each attendee, exhibitor, and volunteer that contributed to this year's success. This industry is fantastic and our time together earlier this month reinforced that sentiment. Please keep an eye out for additional ways to connect throughout the year!

We're finishing 2023 with a few high notes!

Join us in congratulating Kevin McRae as CIA's 2023 award recipient.

The 2023 Dr. Ronald Sneed Friend of the Irrigation Industry Award recognizes an individual that has made a lasting impression and impact on the irrigation industry in the Carolinas region. This year's recipient Kevin McRae, CIC, CLIA, of K2 Irrigation Services, Inc., has served the irrigation industry in many ways.

Kevin currently serves on the Irrigation Association E3 Committee, which sends students and educators to the Irrigation Show and Education Week each year. The Carolinas Irrigation Association sponsors the E3 program, ensuring the next generation of Carolina irrigators are receiving adequate education opportunities. Kevin has also previously served on the CIA Board of Directors and IA's Advocacy Committee and IA's Mentorship Task Force.

"We are thrilled to acknowledge Kevin's contributions over the years," said Clark O'Neill, CIA President. "Kevin has been a pillar in the Carolinas and we couldn't think of anybody more deserving to be recognized with this award."
