EFCA One is the biennial national conference of the Evangelical Free Church of America. Everyone within the EFCA movement is welcome to attend. This year, we're gathering at Fullerton Free Church in Fullerton, CA. Come and join the EFCA West team for lunch on Tuesday afternoon. We hope to see you there!

Ministry Coaching Skills Workshop

June 23, 2023, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. PT

Since 2017, EFCA ReachGlobal staff have greatly benefited from the coaching skills training provided by Dr. Terry Walling. This workshop is open to EFCA One participants and those who don’t attend EFCA One but are within driving distance of Fullerton Free Church. The online preparation portion which precedes the full-day, live course begins in May.

When we are down or discouraged, it is encouraging to know that things are not over yet - there is life beyond the crisis. In this month's article, Bob Osborne, EFCA West's director of church health, shares a story about being down but not out, and one man's finish that was far beyond all he could have previously imagined. Helping one another through our tough seasons and our hope in Jesus Christ is something to talk about.

ReachStudents Training Series: Dynamic Small Groups

Larry Osborne, teaching pastor at North Coast Church in Vista, CA, teaches on creating small groups for your students that are dynamic and healthy. 

Tactical Incident Regional Training (TIRT)

May 20, 2023 | 8am-12pm

High Desert Church in Victorville, CA will be hosting a Tactical Incident Regional Training with guests JJ White, Ashley Jenkins, and Gary Bush. The training will feature breakout sessions on active shooters and stop the bleed training. This event aims to equip churches and schools with the skills to handle critical incidents and provide staff and attendees with the information to be prepared for any incident. EFCA West Assessment Retreat This Summer!

EFCA West helps potential church planters discern their calling and gain essential feedback on their future plans so they can move forward with success in their ministry journey.

Many planters fail to establish a new church because they’ve misunderstood their ministry calling or they have entered their planting journey without the plans and resources they need to thrive. 

Our assessment process helps planting candidates discern gifts and calling and gain affirmation and clarity in their planting plan. This process not only helps planter candidates, but also supports sending churches, networks, and regional leaders so they can most effectively walk alongside candidates discerning a call to plant a church.

All candidates go through a pre-assessment process before being invited to an EFCA West Assessment Center Retreat. After the retreat, the planting candidate and spouse are given a comprehensive report with extensive feedback from a panel of trained and experienced assessors. This grace-filled and encouraging process gives candidates confidence and direction in their future calling.
