AN UPDATE FROM HAITI

Over the past 24 hours, more earthquake victims have been reached by search and rescue teams, and the aftermath of Saturday's earthquake is grim.

Currently, the death toll has jumped to 1,941 and 9,900 wounded (and presumably higher by the time you read this email), and according to a report from UNICEF, more than 1.2 million people, including 540,000 children, have been directly impacted by the earthquake.

We’re working with our healthcare partners and the Haitian government to coordinate relief efforts and ensure critical medical supplies and personnel are getting to the areas most in need, and we need your support and donations so we can continue this important work.

VOLUNTEERS: We are so moved by the number of messages we have received from you. At this time, we are not planning on deploying volunteers. While this may leave many of us feeling helpless, please know that spreading the news of our ongoing work to your friends, family and coworkers does make a huge difference.

We have created an Amazon Wish List with many urgently needed items. Shop the link here, and share it with anyone else that you think might want to purchase supplies to help Haiti. Remember to add us as your Amazon Smile beneficiary, as every time you make a purchase on Amazon, we will receive a donation at no extra cost to you!

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has made financial contributions. As we know from past natural disasters in Haiti, the long road to recovery is just beginning, but we are confident that together, we can help the people of Haiti recover and rebuild.
