Student finds niche in SMART program, lands internship at Niterra

---When Madeleine Turley began college, she envisioned a future as an engineer. While life took her in a different direction, today she’s back on the path she always wanted – building, troubleshooting and solving problems as a Systems Maintenance, Automation & Robotics Technology (SMART) student at the Marshall Advanced Manufacturing Center (MAMC).

---The South Charleston native will graduate in December with an associate degree in applied science through MAMC’s partnership with Mountwest Community and Technical College. Along the way, she’s earned Dean’s List honors, secured a maintenance technician internship with Niterra and hopes to become the company’s first female maintenance technician.

Form 4L adds greater size, speed, selection to stable of 3D printers

---Marshall Advanced Manufacturing Center (MAMC) has acquired new additive manufacturing technology that overcomes four common hurdles associated with many 3D printers: a small build volume, slow production speeds, rough surface finishes and limited materials.

---MAMC's new Formlabs Form 4L 3D printer offers an all-in-one solution to these issues. The introduction of the Form 4L elevates MAMC's stereolithography capabilities, offering superior speed, an expanded build envelope and production-grade reliability.

---"The Form 4L gives manufacturers and entrepreneurs the ability to move from concept to prototype faster while producing larger, more complex parts in a single print,” said MAMC Director of Innovation & Entrepreneurship Deacon Stone.
