Teen Symposium 2019: United Way Fox Cities and the YMCA of the Fox Cities hosted nearly 300 local freshman at Teen Symposium, an annual youth leadership event. Teens learned how to identify and develop their unique skills, with the goal of making a difference in their schools and communities. 2018 Campaign Celebration and Car Winner
United Way Fox Cities' 2018 Community Campaign ended in celebration, thanks to the hard work and generosity of so many. To add to the excitement, the winner of the sweepstakes car was announced: Jodie Rietveld, an employee of ThedaCare, who is a long-time donor to United Way, won the 2018 Chevy Trax and kayak package!
United Way Fox Cities Emerging Leaders create fun for local kids
Smiling children, face painting, clowns, a photo booth, carnival games, books, goodie bags, cookie decorating...all this and more for free! In February, United Way Fox Cities Emerging Leaders were proud to host the annual Valentine’s Family Festival, breaking up the long winter months with some family fun .
Fox Cities Reads to discuss housing challenges
Are you interested in learning more about the housing challenges that face families? On April 11 (6:30 p.m. at Menasha High School) and April 12 (10:00 a.m. at Lawrence Memorial Chapel) two large community events, sponsored in part by United Way Fox Cities, will feature Matthew Desmond, author of Evicted . Please join us for these free presentations.
Community gathers to brainstorm how to "Turn the Curve" on issues
What is the best approach to solving some of our community's biggest challenges? More than 150 people, including stakeholders and subject experts in the areas of our four United Way goals, joined us to brainstorm this question through the Results-Based Accountability approach.
We are excited to welcome keynote speaker, Bob Chapman, Chairman & CEO at Barry-Wehmiller, who was recently named the #3 CEO in the world by Inc., to our Annual Report to the Community.
