BAY REGION COE ANNOUNCEMENT

NOVEMBER 2025

TWO NEW SECTOR PROFILES:

AGRICULTURE, WATER, & ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGIES &

INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES (ICT)/DIGITAL MEDIA

The Bay Region Center of Excellence (COE) developed two new sector profiles: (1) agriculture, water, and environmental technologies and (2) information and communication technologies (ICT)/digital media. These sector profiles provide a labor market snapshot of occupations within their respective pathways. These profiles outline occupational demand, including job growth projections, annual openings by occupation, and entry-level and median wages.

The reports also summarize community college program data, such as the number of community colleges offering these programs and the average number of certificates and degrees awarded by both community colleges and non-community college institutions in the Bay Region. By analyzing workforce occupational trends and educational supply, the reports serve as a strategic resource for decision-makers and practitioners to inform funding proposals, develop key courses and pathways, and align programs across K–12, community colleges, and four-year institutions. Workforce professionals can also use these insights to better understand employment trends and training needs in the sectors. Below are quick facts about these sectors:

Key facts about the agriculture, water, and environmental technologies sector in the Bay Region are highlighted below. Read the full report for the detailed information on the specific occupations included in each pathway.
