Legislative Session Begins
State House
Our Public Policy Department is hard at work gearing up for another busy session at the State House. They are proactively working with the legislature to address several issues, including sex offender registry and victim notification concerns in the wake of the NH Supreme Court decision, John Doe v. State of New Hampshire.

The team will be closely following the legislature's efforts to address the state's opiate crisis. They will be working to make sure that information about the co-occurrence of sexual assault, domestic violence and addiction are brought to the table, and that crisis centers, which are seeing increasing numbers of survivors with addiction, receive the support they need. The Policy team is also working with the Commission to Review Child Abuse Fatalities as it continues it's critical work to prevent these tragedies in our state.
