Paul & Pixie Koala Turn 1!
Today’s the day the Koala bears have their picnic, a birthday picnic! Kuranda Koala Gardens celebrated Paul and Pixie's first birthday by baking them a mud (yes actual dirt) cake!

Fun Fact: In order to get some minerals in their diet, Koala’s will often come down from the trees onto the ground to eat dirt.

How to make a Koala birthday mud cake: Dig up some clay soil, cook it for minimum 10 minutes to kill anything yucky, then shape like a cake.

Koala Gardens give these mud cakes to the Koala colony monthly and they really do enjoy it! Their third joey will turn 1 on the 28 th  of March (so they plan to have another party for him then)!
