Summer in the rainforest!
Summer is here and the Tropical North Queensland "green season" is just around the corner; now is the perfect time to spend long balmy days in tropical paradise!

Did you know the Wet Tropics World Heritage Rainforests existed before the dinosaurs? And are the birthplace of all Kangaroos and the world's songbirds? Tropical North Queensland is also the only place in the world where two natural World Heritage areas exist side by side - the Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef.

Visiting Cairns or Port Douglas and looking for things to do these School holidays? Skyrail Rainforest Cableway is a must do rainforest experience. Combine your visit with the Kuranda Scenic Railway to create the perfect itinerary to keep the family occupied.

Tropical Tree Day 2017
Not even a typically steamy Cairns summer morning could deter the more than 150 people of all ages who converged upon the Kamerunga Conservation Park in Caravonica to participate in Tropical Tree Day 2017.
The partnership between Skyrail and Cairns Regional Council was bolstered this year with the addition of Pacific Toyota as a new event partner.
From kiddies to retirees, everyone did their bit to contribute to the target 1000 saplings that were successfully planted. The long term planting program will help ensure the local community around the Conservation Park will have access to a top quality recreational area for years to come.
