Best Week Ever


The Excelsior Springs High School Marching Band and Color Guard were 1st Place winners at the Warsaw Marching Festival! They were also the GRAND CHAMPIONS of the festival! Congrats to all!

Officer Andrew Stott was shot twice in the line of duty and is currently doing well after an arterial repair to his right shoulder and has had two hand surgeries. Despite this, he is in good spirits.


There is a GoFundMe set up to help with time taken off by his wife to help him. The Fraternal Order of Eagles will also have a fundraiser dinner on Friday, Oct 14 from 5-7pm in support of the Stotts.

ESPD Investigating Kidnapping, Sexual Assault

The roads around the alleged crime scene have been reopened to traffic. Excelsior Springs Police Chief, Gregory Dull released a statement saying, “Numerous items have been recovered from the residence and the process of examining and evaluating those items will begin this week, to determine if any other crimes may have been committed.”

Saturday morning at approximately 4:15am there was a house fire on the corner of Thompson and Excelsior streets that resulted in a total loss of all belongings for the family, including pets. A Facebook fundraiser has been set up to help the Arnone Family.
