SUMMER CONCERT SERIES

Grab your dancing shoes! Whitestown Parks and Recreation is excited to host the Summer Concert Series, which starts Friday, June 6!

Our Summer Concert Series is at Main Street Park for another summer of great tunes and good times! Starting tonight, Friday, June 6, and happening each Friday through July 25 (excluding July 4), gates will open at 6 p.m. and music will be from 7-9 p.m.


This year, we're turning up the fun with theme nights!

FARMERS MARKET

The Whitestown Farmers Market returns on Thursday, June 12, from 5-8 p.m.


Come pick up fresh items from local vendors, listen to live music, and play at Main Street Park. It’s a great way to support local vendors and spend a summer day!

BIKE WITH A COP

Calling all kids in Whitestown to join us for Bike with a Cop! It's a chance to pedal alongside the Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department Bike Patrol, learn bike safety tips, and have a blast together.

Join us for our annual Independence Day celebration on Thursday, July 3, at Eagle Church. Bring your family and friends to enjoy delicious carnival-style food, ice cream, live music, inflatables (additional cost), and fantastic fireworks!

TOUCH A TRUCK

The Hussey-Mayfield Public Library Whitestown Branch is holding a Touch-a-Truck event on Friday, June 20.


Come check out a variety of vehicles on display, including ones from Whitestown Public WorksWhitestown Parks and RecreationWhitestown Fire Department, and Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department!

HERE'S WHAT'S HAPPENING

IMPORTANT UTILITY BILLING ANNOUNCEMENT!

The Utility Billing Office transitioned its payment portal from Invoice Cloud to BillerXchange beginning 4-1-2025. BillerXchange will also be an easily accessible way to pay your bills using familiar payment methods such as Credit, Debit, Bank Account, etc., at no additional cost.


All customers need to create their new account by 6-30-2025, as Invoice Cloud will no longer be accessible.


Please Note:

-No rates will be increasing at this time

-There will be no fees associated with the new platform

-ACH payments will now be accepted

-Invoice Cloud will officially become inactive on June 30, 2025


The Utility Billing Office recommends creating your BillerXchange account at your earliest convenience.

WELCOME, K9 BARQS!

The Whitestown Metropolitan Police Department is proud to introduce the newest member of their team, K9 Barqs, the dedicated therapy dog!


After completing eight months of specialized training, K9 Barqs is now officially certified and will serve alongside Sergeant Klinger and Officer Galbraith to support our community in a unique and impactful way.


K9 Barqs will:

  • Attend community and Town events
  • Provide comfort to officers, firefighters, and Town employees
  • Offer a calming presence on calls involving trauma, stress, or anxiety



We’re excited for the difference K9 Barqs will make one paw at a time!

LOCAL LEADERS JOIN INDIANA SECRETARY OF PUBLIC SAFETY TO TOUR BOONE COUNTY JAIL EXPANSION

Town Manager Katie Barr, Fire Chief Josh Westrich, Police Chief Scott Rolston and members of their staff along with other county leaders had the honor of meeting with Indiana Secretary of Public Safety Jennifer Ruth-Green and touring the new expansion of the Boone County Jail.

NEW COMMUNITY RECYCLING BIN NOW OPEN!

A brand-new community recycling bin is now available at the Whitestown Municipal Complex (6210 Veterans Drive), and it’s open 24/7 for your convenience!


Thank you to Boone County Solid Waste Management District for making responsible recycling easier and more accessible for Whitestown residents.


What You Can Recycle:

  • Glass – Jars and bottles (all colors)
  • Plastics – Bottles, jugs, tubs, and film bags
  • Paper – Food boxes, newspapers, and junk mail
  • Steel & Aluminum Cans – Used for food and drinks
  • Cartons – Used for food and drinks
  • Cardboard – Be sure to flatten all boxes

BRAND NEW TRAIL COMPLETED AND READY FOR USE

Exciting News! The construction on the new trail connecting Main Street Park to the Albert S. White roundabout is in progress!


This project is part of our ongoing commitment to improving connectivity and walkability throughout our community.


Construction is expected to be completed by next week, weather permitting.

ROAD CLOSURE


UPDATE: Due to weather delays, S CR 575 E is now expected to reopen by the end of the day on Friday, June 13. It is currently closed for road improvements.


During the closure, only local traffic will have access. To avoid the closure, detour routes can be accessed east and west on Albert S. White Dr and Pierce St (300 S).
