Hope that you are enjoying the City of Lathrup Village's new e-Newsletter! We will still be mailing out the Your Town newsletter, but thought that this was an easy and quick way to share some of the exciting news about what is going on in Lathrup Village. And, as an added note, we are thrilled to welcome new officers and staff in City Hall. Welcome Christopher Clough!
We are very excited to welcome Chris Clough as our new Coordinator for Parks and Recreation! Chris brings many years of experience from Ann Arbor Schools' after school and summer programs and Detroit PAL. He is busy finalizing the line up for an exciting summer concert series!

Chris is also asking for input on the Farmer's Market. So, please take a moment to respond to the survey.

State of the City Address 2019
Mayor Kelly Garrett presented the State of the City Address at the Southfield Area Chamber of Commerce.

The Lathrup Village City Council hold Study Sessions typically on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month. The starting time of these Study Sessions has been changed to 5:30pm (previously 6:00pm). The meeting are open to the public. Click for April 1, 2019 Study Session Agenda.

The Lathrup Village Women's Club invites you to a discussion: Caring for Adults with Disabilities When Parents Are No Longer There to Help.

How can you plan for the future of your child with disabilities when you are no longer there to help? What services are available to families to assist in making these important decisions? Guest speakers: Cindy Burdy from MORC, Beth Schindler of the Community Housing Network, and Former Lathrup Village Mayor Frank Brock.

Marijuana Ordinance
City Council Meeting voted to adopt an ordinance that would prohibit Marijuana establishments for 18 months. This will allow time for a study group to gather information and make recommendations based on state regulations and the impact in other communities.
Citizen Survey
Lathrup Village City Council is gathering input from residents on marijuana licensing. The survey is available online.
