FIREWORKS REMINDER Lathrup Village residents are reminded that fireworks are ONLY permitted on and around days that are National Holidays. For the July 4 th holiday, the Michigan Fireworks Safety Act allows for fireworks ONLY from June 29 th to July 5th (when the 4 th falls on a Friday or Saturday). Our local ordinance also requires that these fireworks are NOT to be ignited, discharged or used AFTER 12 MIDNIGHT. Everyone is reminded to please be respectful and courteous to your neighbors and only enjoy your fireworks during the permitted dates and times. The loud noises may be very frightening to children, pets, veterans and those with PTSD. Violators should be reported immediately to the Police Department. Please include the address and description, if possible. Thanks everyone for your cooperation!

Residents of Lathrup Village are invited to participate in the SOCRRA Special Collection being held on Tuesday, June 23rd from 12noon-6pm i Royal Oak.

Water & Sewer Rates (effective July 1, 2020)

New Water Rates Effective July 1, 2020 Minimum Bill = $50.43 Water: $43.48 per 1,000 cu.ft. Sewer: $82.59 per 1,000 cu.ft. This does not include meter charge or billing charge on residential houses. Businesses will also have a surcharge for industrial waste on their bill

Summer in the Village Virtual Art Fair The Summer in the Village Art Fair is going virtual! Join us in supporting local artists in our virtual art fair taking place starting June 27th at 10 AM through July 3rd 4 PM. On June 27th, the artwork will go live on our Summer in the Village Virtual Art Fair Facebook page. Virtually shop items and collect them with curbside pick up at City of Lathrup Village City Hall on June 27th 10 AM to 4 PM or June 29th through July 3rd between 9 AM and 4 PM. Simply comment on the items you wish to purchase and comment a time you wish to pick up the items.

Food Truck Night Stop by City Hall's Parking Lot on June 24th from 6:30-8 PM for some delicious food from Kathy's Food Truck. Pick up some dinner or hangout in the park, while being safe and respectful of others.

Step Up LV Join our virtual challenge where Lathrup Villagers of all ages will push themselves to increase their daily step count and take on Southfield over the course of the month of June. Community Garden Funding has been approved to start a Community Vegetable Garden! Plots will be available for yearly rental and cooperative plots for volunteers. The Community Vegetable Garden will be located at Municipal Park. Interested in getting involved? Contact recreation@lathrupvillage.org

In-Person Summer Recreation Events & Programs Cancelled Through Aug. 31 Reminder, all in-person Parks & Recreation programming, events, and activities through August 31, 2020. As the situation changes, we will re-evaluate what programs and events we may be able to safely offer residents.
