Governor Whitmer today announced the “
Stay Home, Stay Safe
” executive order that takes effect at midnight tonight - March 23, 2020. You can

The order is in effect until 11:59 p.m. April 13, 2020.
Out of an abundance of caution for the protection of our residents, visitors, businesses and employees, we are taking appropriate precautions to protect their health, safety and welfare.
In order to better provide for the health and safety of City personnel and the general public, Mayor Garrett has declared a
Local State of Emergency
. Chief Scott McKee is appointed the Emergency Management Coordinator.
- City Administration offices will be closed to the public.
- Lathrup Village Police Department remains operational. The Police front desk will be open for limited times: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday from 8am-11am. This is subject to change.
- Residents with emergencies can call 911 or use the call box located outside of the police department for a direct connection to Dispatch.
