Governor Whitmer Extends Allowing for Remote Public Meetings Until the End of the
COVID-19 State of Emergency
Gov. Whitmer signed
Executive Order 2020-154,
which extends the previous executive orders to provide temporary alternative means to conduct public meetings.
Meetings of the Lathrup Village City Council and other boards and committees are planning to continue to use telephone or video conferencing methods for conducting business during the COVID-19 health crisis.
Executive Order 2020-153
strengthens previous orders requiring all Michigan residents to wear a mask while indoor public spaces and crowded outdoor spaces.
Safety protocols and procedures continue at Lathrup Village City Hall for the safety of staff and the public. Visitors are required to wear a face covering and self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath) before entering. Any one with symptoms is prohibited from entering the building.
City Hall procedures include
: signing in, wearing face coverings and maintaining proper social distancing. Visitors are permitted only on the first floor of City Hall. Please note that face coverings are not provided onsite.
