SEPTEMBER 16TH, 2020
“Our true nature is reflected in how we respond when someone around us succeeds. We have two choices:
to laud them with praise or to load them with criticism.
The focus of our heart determines our response.”

― Jeremy Gove
Blow up the balloons, pop the champagne, it's time to celebrate!
Look at all the opportunity set before you to laud your fellow business man or woman with praise! Coolest Things Made In Wisconsin, Top Work Place, and The Best Of Walworth County all have the same thing in common:
Let me offer up my congratulations [insert slow clap] to each business nominated for "Best Of Walworth County" and product nominated for "Coolest Thing"! How cool to see excellence throughout Wisconsin and closer to home here in Walworth County. For businesses with 50+ employees there is still time to log your nomination and start the process for Top Work Place. Hooray!

Take the time to notice those that surround you. Voting (in a contest) for a family member, friend or favorite local business is one way to show your support. I think it's terrific! But don't stop there. Not everyone you know is nominated for contests or bragging rights. Honor them by finding their good and letting them know you see them. You see their effort. You see them working harder to build and grow. Maybe they are working harder to merely survive. No matter what, a kind word or genuine accolade has significance and is worth sharing.

So bring out your balloons and the confetti and the parade of acclamations and spread it out like jelly on toast: all over! Have fun and encourage others to do the same so we may be united and empowered to be our best.
Keep smiling, keep sanitizing, and stay safe!
