HOLIDAY CELEBRATIONS AROUND YOU
We had a wonderful time on Sunday at our Holiday Celebrations Around You craft kit distribution drive-thru event. We distributed craft kits containing materials for families to explore nine winter holiday celebrations. If you missed the pickup, we have downloadable craft kits!

Visit our Kids Page throughout the month as we highlight a different holiday for you and your family to explore. This week you will learn about Hanukkah, Las Posadas, Tió de Nadal, Dōngzhì and Shab-e Yaldā with the RCPL children’s librarians and members of the community.

The downloadable craft kits and stories for each celebration are on our Kids Page.

NEWS FROM THE LIBRARY FOUNDATION
The Redwood City Library Foundation is grateful to everyone who donated to support our libraries on Giving Tuesday! We received more than $2,800 in donations on that day! THANK YOU!

What is inspiring your holiday giving this year? We received the following idea from one of our generous donors:

How nice that our gift will be matched! How we found you: We wanted to give all of our Christmas gift money to local/Redwood City charities. While we do support large charities, we felt the need to help locals this season and we knew that more of our donation would actually go to people in need. I googled Redwood City charities and RCLF was on the list. Given that we are voracious readers and spent a lot of time at the Redwood City Public Library, it was a no-brainer selection!

If you haven't given yet, please consider that the CARES Act makes it possible to deduct $300 in donations on your taxes, even if you aren’t filing the long form. Take advantage of this tax deduction by the end of the year by donating at: www.rclfdn.org/donate

The RCLF thanks you for your support this past year and wishes you a Happy New Year!
