Introduce Laughter Yoga to your business or organizationby scheduling an Introduction to Laughter Yoga. The 1 hour presentation covers research on the many health benefits of laughter plus the opportunity to experience a Laughter Yoga session.
When was the last time you played? REALLY played and had fun? We know play is beneficial to he development of children, but as adults, we often forget we need to play as well. According to an article posed on
helpguide.org, play is important for adults...play can benefit your relationships, job and mood. Play can be "on your own or with a pet, but for greater benefits, play should involve at least one other person, away from the sensory-overload of electronic gadgets."
Animal Laughter
Ever had a dog or cat smile at you? Animals laugh (the above video as an example) and there are actually 10 animal species that do laugh according to
Weird Nature. Probably the one animal we think of, when thinking of laughing animals, is a
laughing hyena, but they don't all laugh, just as all humans do not laugh.
Laughing Gas Replacing Opioids?
There's laughing gas and there is laughter! In 2016, New Jersey's
St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center's emergency department began a new program for the treatment of opioids: laughing gas! This came about when the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention called for physicians to consider alternatives for the treatment of pain. Another alternative? Laughter Yoga. It is not unusual for someone to join a Laughter Yoga session on the recommendation of their pain doctor and laughter is also seen as beneficial by those
treating addictions.
