Hello Sacha,
We are thrilled to announce the official launch of the Talent Development Task Force's landing page, a pivotal milestone in our journey toward shaping a dynamic and resilient workforce for Alberta's future. You can explore the landing page at https://www.abchamber.ca/talent-development-task-force/.
At the forefront of innovative workforce initiatives in Canada, the Talent Development Task Force is a collaborative endeavour co-chaired by the Alberta Chambers of Commerce (ACC) and the Alberta Post-Secondary Network (APSN).
Our mission is clear: to bridge the gap between academia and industry, empowering students to enter the workforce equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in today's competitive landscape.
“We get students into positions quicker in their academic career and businesses benefit from getting these educated, talented individuals into their organizations,” said ACC President Shauna Feth.
NorQuest College President Carolyn Campbell said it is rewarding to know everyone is pulling together: “When employers know that post-secondary institutions are giving future employees the skills they need, that’s a good thing.”
Entering its third year, this project focuses on three pillars: business, post-secondary institutions, and government. Funded by Prairies Canada, Alberta Jobs, Economy and Trade, and Mitacs, we are helping to ensure post-secondary programming meets evolving employer needs.
