Strengthening Global Cooperation for Digital Trust and Security

Guest speaker, Troels Oerting, Head of Global Centre for Cybersecurity at the World Economic Forum will be presenting on the topic of increasing global cooperation between the public and private sectors, by addressing key challenges to security and trust in the digital landscape.

In the last decade cyber security developed into a source of profound confusion and hype. Troels Oerting will introduce key threats and drivers behind cyber security from a historical, economic, social, as well as technological perspective. He will be providing insights into the topic and enable the audience to make informed decisions, as leaders or citizens, in order to understand that opportunities of digitization exceed the threats, even in future scenarios.

About the speaker: Troels Oerting Jorgensen

Throughout his career, Troels Oerting Jorgensen, has been working with governments and corporations to advise on how they react to the increasing international cyber threats, and worked closely with law enforcement, intelligence services and cyber security businesses.

He formerly worked with the Danish National Police, first as Director, Head of the Serious Organised Crime Agency and then as Director of Operations, Danish Security Intelligence Service; Deputy Head, ICT Department and Deputy Head, OC Department, Europol, EU’s Police Agency; Head of European Cybercrime Centre and Head of Europol Counter Terrorist and Financial Intelligence Centre.

From 2015 to 2018, he was Group Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Barclays. He chaired the EU Financial Cybercrime Coalition, of which most banks are partner. He has profound experience in cyber security. Since 2018, he is Head of the Centre for Cybersecurity at World Economic Forum.
