Launching CAP into a New Decade
|
|
From our Executive Director

Dear Friends of CAP,
Happy New Year! How exciting to be entering the new decade and year - a great time to
launch our 2020 vision
with its symbolic meaning.
The year 2019 saw many positive changes come to fruition for children. Adoptees finally have the right to their original birth certificates in NY State, and the Family First Act was adopted.
As we look toward the future and
embrace the evolution of foster care, services and legislation, we anticipate that CAP will impact more children than ever before
. We are committed to making 2020 a stellar year for children in need of forever families! Stay tuned to learn more.
All my best,
Lauri McKnight

MAPP Training Classes Begin January 23

Our new series of MAPP training classes begins on
Thursday, January 23 from 6 - 9 pm.
This is a
10-week training for prospective foster and adoptive parents.
MAPP meets
every Thursday

Over 10 sessions, families assess their parenting skills: their strengths and their needs, their desire and ability to work as partners, and their ability to meet the needs of children for safety, permanency, and well-being.
Please
email
[email protected]
or call (585) 232-5110
