SPS Network,

We are excited to announce the launch of the SPS Ambulatory Safety portfolio!

The SPS Ambulatory Safety portfolio is designed as a three-pronged approach focused on the global aim of ensuring that all patients are safe from harm in ambulatory health care settings. Our three workstreams consist of Ambulatory Foundations, Ambulatory CLABSI, and Ambulatory Incubator.
What are the expectations?
  • All network hospitals participate in Ambulatory Foundations
  • Network hospitals can optionally volunteer to participate in the Ambulatory CLABSI Pioneer Cohort to reduce central line associated blood stream infections (CLABSI) in the ambulatory setting
  • Network hospitals can optionally volunteer to participate in an Ambulatory Incubator team with others who are interested in collaborating to identify, explore, and develop quality improvement work to decrease serious ambulatory harms for both employees/staff and patients
All details on the guidelines, expectations, and steps to participate for each of the Ambulatory workstreams is linked in the packet below. This includes the Ambulatory Foundations Roadmap and participation forms for both Ambulatory CLABSI and Incubator.
Join the Ambulatory Office Hours
The network will be hosting office hours on Tuesday, Aug. 16 from 12-1 p.m. ET to cover any questions you have on the three Ambulatory work streams. Register for the office hours here.
Roles & Responsibilities of Ambulatory Contact(s)
SPS is excited to begin working with the Ambulatory point of contacts identified for each of our network hospitals! The Ambulatory point of contacts will oversee the work for each organization and be the primary contacts for all SPS Ambulatory Safety-related communications (please note: this will be in addition to the SPS Project Manager(s), who will remain copied on all SPS Ambulatory Safety communications). To refresh on the roles and responsibilities, click here. Additionally, if your hospital has not submitted Ambulatory contacts, you can do so here.
