Thank You for Making Lunches
Thank you to Ellie Caulkins, Jan Douglas, Abby Elliott, Beth Elliott, Joe Elliott, Molly Freeman, Kathleen Reilly, Sue Richardson, and Lea VanSchaack for making lunches for our mission partner Women's Homelessness Initiative this month. Please plan to join us at Ascension for this fun fellowship activity next month on July 26. Stay tuned for more details.
Love Your Neighbor, Love Yourself with the Covid Vaccine
We are eager for all of our parishioners who can receive the Covid vaccine safely to be vaccinated as soon as possible. Currently, 50.7% of all Coloradans age 12 and over have been fully vaccinated, but we need to reach 70% to achieve herd immunity so all of us can gather more safely in person. To find out when and where you can get vaccinated, please click here.
Next Book Study Begins This Tuesday Our ongoing book study continues at 5 p.m. on Tuesdays in July with current New York Times bestseller How the Word Is Passed by Clint Smith. Smith is a prize-winning poet, scholar, and staff writer for The Atlantic magazine. In How the Word Is Passed, Smith looks at monuments and landmarks across the United States, how they reckon with the history of slavery, and how that reckoning shapes our understanding of history. You can listen to an interview with Clint Smith by Terry Gross on NPR's Fresh Air here. For more information, please email Weezie Blanchard.
Join Us This Sunday at 9 a.m.
We are delighted to welcome you to our 9 a.m. Sunday service without advance registration. We do ask that you consider wearing masks so that we can be especially hospitable to children and others who must still wear masks in most indoor settings. Wearing masks also allows us to resume singing and receiving communion in the service in accordance with the guidelines of the Office of the Bishop. We will continue to livestream at ascensiondenver.org and on our Facebook and YouTube pages. Thank you to all of you who have been and continue to be so caring of your fellow parishioners during these unprecedented times!
