Happy December Laurel School Families!

Happy December Laurel School Families!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break and were able to enjoy time with friends and family!

In last month’s newsletter, we outlined our parking lot project and with your help and support, it was done in record time! We lucked out with the weather and the many layers of the project to create a more efficient, safer space for our community!

I want to thank families for their support and understanding last month as the project was completed over break. New features include:

·      Parking around the circle area

·      Reserved parking in front of the school

·      Two new Handicap spots in large parking lot on either side of the new  walkway

·      Large lot – Family parking (except for the back corner ‘nook’)

·      Small lot – Faculty parking

As we head into the December home stretch to the end of 2024, these next three weeks will be busy and we will have our Art & Literature Faire whole school open house event night featuring the culmination of student work on our theme, “ImagiNation”.

We will look forward to celebrating this month with all of you!

Best,

Amy LaFranchise

Head of School

Laurel's Annual Art & Literature Faire

We are thrilled to have our School Community join us for our Art & Literature Faire! This beloved school wide event has been a long tradition here at Laurel and we could not be more excited to fully transform the school to showcase all of the incredible work that our students have accomplished!

Art & Literature Faire Information

Our Art and Literature Faire is the culmination of student process and work on a specific theme we have been working on as a whole school since the beginning of the school year. Our entire school transforms into the theme that we have been exploring as a whole school. Our theme chosen for this year is: ImagiNation! Teachers and students will explore this theme and interpret it through student interests and perspective by incorporating it within the curriculum.
