Elementary Afternoon Clubs -

Monday: Photography & Scrapbooking - Ms. Jill & Ms. Alice

Students have the opportunity to use cameras and take pictures of the world through their eyes. They will work independently to create their own personal scrapbooks throughout the year; they will have lots of photographed memories to look back on for years to come!

Tuesday: Newspaper Club - Ms. Jill

The Laurel Chronicle Volume 3 will be in the making! The students will work together to create a newspaper for the community to enjoy. Our popular newspaper club provides the opportunity to learn about media, teamwork, and having their unique talents combine to create something special. The children will be able to write articles, conduct interviews, create comic strips, and so much more!

Wednesday: Games Club - Ms. Jill

Students will come together to play classic board games! Some much loved games in the past have been: Chess, Battleship, or Operation. This club gives the students a chance to have fun and socialize while learning good sportsmanship skills.

Thursday: Art Club - Ms. Jill

Students will explore their creativity through independent and collaborative art projects. Past art projects have included: canvas paintings, jewelry making, and various murals.

Friday: Glee Club - Ms. Paige

This is a student choral group with choreographed routines to different songs; Glee Club members will also have performances throughout the school year!

As a reminder: The Laurel School is a peanut/tree nut aware campus! Please do not pack products containing any nuts or nut butter. Thank you for your support in this!

Fundraising At Laurel -

As a non-profit school we facilitate many different fundraisers throughout the school year to support our programming and our School's Annual Fund.

Your engagement in our community enables us to continue to provide a beautiful, safe learning environment with integrated arts curriculum as well as continuing to make improvements to our building and campus. Fundraising also supports the School's Annual Fund. The Laurel School's Annual Fund is our fundraising fund that helps to cover essential operational costs for our organization and supports our Financial Aid Program.

Our First Fundraiser will be our School Pictures on October 2nd & 3rd!

Order Forms are below with more details and schedule of days. We hope to have all families participate and we will offer sibling photos as well which make great holiday gifts! Ms. Amy, our photographer extraordinaire will once again be taking the photos. One of her many talents, being a professional photographer years ago!

  • School Picture Order Forms due by September 30th

Our Second Fundraiser will be a Laurel School Family Cookbook!

We enjoyed many delicious dishes at both Back to School Picnics and realized that this is a special way to share and celebrate our community by having a Family Cookbook! We kindly ask all families to share recipes for this cookbook for us to sell and raise funds for our school for the Holidays!
