Director - Office of Enterprise Sustainability

The State of Minnesota is looking for an EHS Director. The Director of the Office on Enterprise Sustainability will direct internal and external work related to sustainability efforts of all executive branch state agencies. The general objective of this position is to ensure accountability in the implementation of policies that reflect enterprise-wide goals and objectives around sustainability, including, but not limited to Governor's Executive Orders 11-12 and 11-13. The work will include, but is not limited to: improving recycling outcomes, increasing the use of renewable energy, helping agencies find every energy efficiency in state buildings in concert with Sustainable Buildings 2030 and using B3 tracking, climate reporting, improving the Green Fleet, implementing environmental preferred purchasing (where applicable), and promoting the use of the Guaranteed Energy Savings Program (GESP). Bachelor's degree in an Environmental Science, any Natural Science, Public Administration or other related degree with a broad knowledge of environmental issues and sustainability and four (4) years of professional level work experience OR six (6) years professional level work experience is required. Temple University is a comprehensive state-related research university in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. As of 2014, more than 37,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students are enrolled in Temple. They are looking for an EHS Director. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Construction, Facilities and Operations, the Director, Environmental Health and Safety manages and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the University's safety/compliance programs and personnel with specific focus on radiation safety, chemical safety, biological safety, laser safety, employee/occupational health and safety including general environmental protection protocols and overall emergency response plans. S/he manages and leads department staff management, effectively establishes performance goals and objectives, sets operational priorities and measurement criteria addressing the maintenance of an overall safe functional environment and ensuring the safe handling and economical disposal of hazardous chemical, radioactive, and biological wastes. The Director is also responsible for evaluating existing programs and policies, and developing and implementing new procedures to assure University's compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws governing environmental health and safety. Master's degree in field related to environmental and/or occupational health and safety and a minimum of eight years of directly related experience is required with at least five years of administrative and management experience.

Senior Health, Safety, Environmental & Facilities Manager

They are looking for an EHS Manager. The Senior Health, Safety, Environmental and Facilities (HSE&F) Manager will be based in South Bend, IN working for the Wheel & Brakes Value Stream. This position will provide HSE&F leadership and oversight for over 800 employees. The HSE&F Senior Manager will be responsible for establishing strong working relationships with all functions and partnering with the business on HSE&F compliance, project management, and accident prevention. He/she will implement Corporate and Aerospace HSE&F standards, providing technical assistance on HSE&F issues and directing the HSE&F AOP, STRAP, HOS Integration and Corporate governance processes. This includes direct responsibility for the Honeywell assurance letter, compliance initiatives, governmental reporting, best practice sharing and driving HOS deployment efforts and lean initiatives to reduce waste and drive continual improvement. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environment, Engineering, Facilities or related field is required along with a minimum of 7 years of experience leading the implementation of HSE programs in a manufacturing environment. Minimum of 5 years of progressive management/supervisor experience of personnel and managing compliance with all HSE disciplines, OSHA and Environmental regulations preferred. MA and CSP/CIH, CHMM preferred.
