March is Women's History Month, a time to reflect on the contributions of women and celebrate their past and present achievements. This year, the National Women’s History Month theme is “Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.”


Ramadan begins on March 11 and ends with Eid al Fitr on April 10. Ramadan Kareem to all who celebrate this holy time.


The next Board of Education (BOE) meeting is Wednesday, March 13, at Lawrence High School (2525 Princeton Pike). The public portion begins at 7PM and will be livestreamed here: https://www.ltps.org/rewind.

LHS DECA Qualifies 22 Members for ICDC


Congratulations to the members of the Lawrence High School (LHS) DECA chapter who joined 4,700 high school business, finance, hospitality, and marketing students NJ State Career Development Conference (SCDC) in Atlantic City, March4-6!


Twenty-two members received recognition at the State level and have advanced to compete at the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Anaheim, CA in April.

LHS Presents Footloose -Opening Night!


Kick off your Sunday shoes and get ready to cut loose! The Lawrence High School (LHS) Theatre Company’s production of Footloose will take place on March 7, 8, and 9 at 7PM in the LHS Auditorium.


Tickets are $10 online here and at the door. All seats are general admission.

Hershey Park Discount Tickets


Here's a great opportunity for those planning to go to Hershey Park this season! The LMS/LHS PTO has discounted tickets ($57 instead of $87.50) for sale. You don't need to have a child in LMS or LHS to participate and take part in this incentive.

NCAA Workshop


If your child is a student-athlete at Lawrence High School (LHS) and is competing or thinking about competing on an athletic team in college, please attend our NCAA workshop for high school student-athletes on March 20 at 6PM in the LHS cafeteria.


Presented by Mike Gatley, this workshop will emphasize navigating college admissions, financial aid, athletic scholarships, and understanding how each impacts the college-bound athlete.

Stand Against Racism: A Conversation with Roxane Gay


Join the YWCA Princeton on Thursday, April 4, at 7PM for Stand Against Racism: A Conversation with Roxane Gay at ETS’s Princeton campus. Dr. Roxane Gay is an author, cultural critic, and educator known for her unapologetic commentary on modern culture, feminism, and the political landscape of the United States. She is currently the Gloria Steinem Endowed Chair in Media, Culture, and Feminist Studies at Rutgers University–New Brunswick. This event is FREE and open to the public, registration is required.


Prior to the main conversation, we will also be hosting an invite-only youth reception offering area youth (defined as ages 14 to 25) an opportunity to have a more intimate conversation with Dr. Gay and ask her any questions they may have centered around finding their voice as an activist. Healthy Kids Running Series


Registration is open for the Healthy Kids Running Spring Series to be held on Sundays beginning April 7 at Lawrence Middle School.


Healthy Kids Running Series is a national, community-based non-profit organization that provides a fun, inclusive five-week running series for ages 2-14.

Help make a difference in the community by showing our youth how much fun it can be to be active! No experience necessary but all volunteers must be age 15 or older.

 

Volunteers check-in at the registration tent for race day directions and station assignments at 3PM. Pre-race day directions will be communicated via email, as well as a review of race day guidelines.
