The next Board of Education (BOE) meeting is Wednesday, October 9, at Lawrence High School (2525 Princeton Pike). The public portion begins at 7PM and will be livestreamed here: https://www.ltps.org/rewind.

LHS Hosts Voter Registration Drive


Lawrence High School (LHS) hosted a voter registration drive on Saturday, September 28, complete with food trucks, music, and participation from many of our community partners.

2024 Athletic Hall of Fame


Athletic Director Anthony Ammirata opened the 15th Annual Induction Ceremony of the Athletic Hall of Fame on September 27 at Lawrence High School (LHS).


The inductees were honored before the home football game on the stadium turf, followed by a banquet in the LHS Commons.

LMS Music Students Shadow Marching Band


On September 27, 7th and 8th grade members of the Lawrence Middle School (LMS) music department had the opportunity to experience a bit of what it is like to be a high school marching band member.


Students spent the afternoon rehearsing with the marching band and color guard, learning basic techniques and music. They then had some time for fellowship over a meal provided by the parents of LIMBO before heading down to the LHS Stadium to perform with the marching band in the bleachers. They also were able to watch the LHS marching band pre-game show!


The LMS music students were chaperoned by band director Ron Taglairino and several parents of LMS music students.

Field Hockey Scores a Big Win


The Lawrence High School (LHS) girls field hockey team scored a win over Princeton, 2-1, at their game in Lawrence on September 28! Way to go, girls! #CardinalPride #LTPSThisIsUs

Fall Drama - Clue!


The Lawrence High School (LHS) Theater Company is excited to announce this year's fall drama...Clue! Based on the movie and board game, the show features 19 talented actors, and even more students working behind the scenes.


Clue will run on November 14, 15, and 16 at 7PM. Tickets will be sold online and at the door for $10. Stay tuned for updates when tickets go on sale.

Trunk or Treat!


We’re creeping closer to the LTPD's Trunk or Treat, and the excitement is brewing!

 

This year, Lawrence Township Public Schools will be joining with the Lawrence Township Police Department and the Lawrence Township Recreation Department to help make THIS Trunk or Treat extra special! So, get your costumes ready for a spook-tacular night of tricks, treats, and trunks. See you there... if you dare! October 24 from 6-8PM in the LHS parking lot.

Fall Arts Festival Student Market


Attention students in grades K-12! Lawrenceville Main Street is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity at the upcoming Fall Arts Festival on October 19. Thanks to the generous support of Gorecki General Construction LLC and Lawrence Township Public Schools, Lawrenceville Main Street is offering a limited number of FREE spaces for students to participate in a special student market.


This is your chance to experience entrepreneurship firsthand at one of the area's most vibrant community events. The Fall Arts Festival features three stages of live music, over 170 artists, vendors, and crafters, games, a FREE kids zone, and so much more. Early Childhood Advisory Council (ECAC)


The PreK School Program is seeking dedicated community members to join the Early Childhood Advisory Council (ECAC).


The ECAC is an advisory group made up of community stakeholders who are passionate about the education and well-being of children from preschool through

grade three.

Blanket Drive


Lawrence High School (LHS) is collecting new, handmade, colorful, cheery, cuddly blankets for Project Linus, a non-profit organization that provides blankets to children in shelters, hospitals, and social service agencies. Blankets can be knitted, crocheted, tie-blankets, etc. (100% cotton, flannel, single-ply polar fleece, or acrylic yarn…please no wool).


Questions? Contact Kerry Roche at kroche@ltps.org. Students who make blankets can also earn volunteer hours for their time. The drop-off bin is located in the main vestibule at LHS.

Lawrence Lacrosse Fall Clinics


Registration is open now for children in grades PreK-8. The Fall Clinics are designed for players who are ready to learn the sport or take their skills to the next level in the off-season. They run for seven weeks beginning September 14 and are held at Village Park or Lawrence High Turf.

CMS Kids: Tuneful Travels


Princeton University Concerts (PUC) welcomes The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center (CMS) back to Princeton for the first family program of the 2024-25 season — “CMS Kids: Tuneful Travels,” curated for kids ages 3-6 and their families.


Performances are Saturday, October 19, at 1PM and 3PM in the Lee Rehearsal Room at the Lewis Arts Complex. Host Rami Vamos and the CMS musicians will guide audiences through a magical journey where music for piano, violin, and bassoon becomes a vibrant expression of joy and movement. This CMS Kids program is a Relaxed Performance, an inclusive concert experience in a judgement-free environment.

 

Tickets for PUC's family programs go quickly and are only $5 for children and $10 for adults. Tickets are available at puc.princeton.edu, or by phone at 609-258-9220 (Mon-Fri, 11AM-4PM).

Arm In Arm Food Pantry


The Arm In Arm Mobile Food Pantry will be at the Lawrence Headquarters branch of the Mercer County Library on Monday afternoons from 2-4PM in September and October. Pre-registration is not required.
